Jesus loves me

“Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.” (1 Corinthians 13:7 KJV)

Somebody loves me! What a moment of tectonic realization! Nothing is impossible now. Everything now has a reason. Everything can now be endured if it restores and / or grows love. Not mere desire, but real love. What a shame that we so often read this verse as though at the end of a long dusty and dry road that we must still drag on another mile. It is only that way if we are trying to make our supply of love last longer. The moment that we see that we are loved, not only our cup, but our entire being runneth over! A fountain that we could not contain even if we tried. The love that we have for the other is given in the overflow of the love that Jesus has for us.

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” (1 Corinthians 13:11 KJV)
