“Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;” (Joel 2:1, KJV)
You know what is really fascinating? Verses like this leave no ambiguity. None. It’s not a mere prediction that certain planetary events are eventually going to align. It’s not that eventually wicked deeds are going to amount to a real problem. It’s a targeted day that has meaning and purpose associated with it. Be intentional when listening to the Lord! He really does watch over his flock day and night. The phrase “hear, O Israel” is not a coincidence.
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:” (Deuteronomy 6:4, KJV)
