I think that free will is often not seen in it’s full context. As though free will is some caveat that we must be permitted. Somehow a choice isn’t a real choice unless you are free to make that choice. While that is likely true, it misses what this is underlying. To love, or even to have the attributes of real love (see 1 Corinthians 13), we must have more than just choice. How can those around us see what we are choosing? The choice goes much deeper than a decision between A or B. It’s more than the free will to make that choice. God made us with a will that can really embrace what we have chosen. So, if someone were to write a song about choosing Jesus, how would they tell?
