Anticipation or Interruption?

When I look over the eastern horizon this morning, I don’t see many indications of a coming sunrise. No golden rays. No spectacular highlights in the clouds. Yet the moon directly above me shines with a brilliance and at an angle that tells me that the sun is in fact just over that horizon.
The question for us as Christians is when he comes, will we find him an interruption to all that we have planned for this day? Or is he the very thing that we’ve been waiting for? Sometimes time spent in prayer at these hours can help clarify that.

Holy cow! The moon was right! There may be ten different views about any subject, until you know the answer. Then there’s only one!

Comment from my sister:
“There is nothing like the sunrise in the morning to speak clarity into the dark areas you weren’t quite sure how to navigate. Even when you don’t know what the day will bring, you know who brings the day.”
