“I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.” (Job 9:2-3 KJV)
Job asks an important question here. How do we justify ourselves with God? If anyone has a case, you may think that Job has one. Yet the frustration continues to build the longer that we look on our circumstances and continue to try to find a way to make that case against God. If his glory is paramount above ours, even if we had the understanding to make such a case, why would we? As odd as it may seem, the quicker we forget about ourselves and begin to magnify his name, the faster these sorrows either go away or become his. There really is a strength in quietness and trust because you are watching for how his glory is going to increase to cover this situation as well.
